How to care for your SnowLake Apparel garments

Digitally printed shirts can be expected to wear over time, due to the nature of the soft and natural water-based inks. There are ways to prolong the life of your custom print. We suggest the following care instructions:

  • Machine wash cold (or hand wash)Gentle cycle only with mild detergents
  • Do not bleach
  • No fabric softener
  • Do not dry clean
  • Hang dry or tumble dry on very low settings.
  • Screen Printed shirts are more durable, but care should still be taken

What is Print on Demand?

SnowLake Apparel is primarily a Print-On-Demand business allowing us to print high-quality apparel with minimal waste. Occasionally, we will do a run of designs that will allow us to have stock on hand, but most likely your order will be printed once received.

What is Print-On-Demand?

P.O.D is a process where we work with our supplier to sell our items on a per-order basis allowing us to reduce our material waste in case our products don’t sell. For example, if we order 50 extra small t-shirts and we don’t sell them, they will go to waste. However, with our P.O.D system, our printer will only print what’s needed per order.

How does this affect my order?

Normally when you place an online order, the stock is already printed and sitting in a warehouse where it can be packed and shipped within 24hours, however, with our print-on-demand system, your order will be printed once your order comes through then shipped. This means instead of receiving your order within 2-3 days, you will receive our order within 7-10 days instead.**

How can I tell when I will receive my order?

On each product page, we will state whether the stock is on hand or whether it falls under our Print-On-Demand category under the product description. We will also state the estimated dispatch timeframe.

** unless otherwise stated on the product description

About SnowLake Apparel

Located in Mansfield at the base of Victoria’s High Country, SnowLake Apparel began as a side project by an active family who loves to ride the endless tracks of the high country, whether it was on snow, dirt or the wakes on the Lake Eildon.

Raising girls is no easy task and finding clothes to suit their love for motorbikes, snowboards, and their BMX’s, was even harder, so mum and digital graphic designer Courtney, started creating prints and ordering custom tops that both herself, her husband, and their daughters would love to wear…
